Privacy policy

What we collect

We collect the email address and name you provide, your selected course, learning progress, settings, and the technical records needed to keep your account secure. If you apply to appear as a teacher, we also collect your profile photograph, biography, teaching languages, general location, timezone, availability, and pricing information.

How we use it

We use this information to provide your Linh Linh account, remember your progress, send one-time sign-in codes, review and display teacher profiles, protect the service, and improve the learning experience.

Teacher contact requests

When you contact a teacher, we store your account name and email address, the WhatsApp, Zalo, Line, or phone detail you choose to provide, your message, the teacher contacted, and the time of the request. We share those details with that teacher so they can respond. Contact details are not displayed publicly.

Teacher photographs

Teacher photographs are cropped and compressed for display. We remove embedded metadata and keep the processed profile image rather than the original upload.

Learning updates

Marketing email is optional. The checkbox is off by default. If you opt in, we record the date and registration source of that consent. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email without affecting your account.

Cookies and local storage

We use an essential secure session cookie to keep you signed in and local storage to remember course and learning preferences. These are required for the product to work. We do not currently set advertising cookies or optional analytics cookies.

Retention and choices

We keep account and learning data while your account is active and retain limited security and contact-request records where necessary. Paused teacher profiles are removed from public results but may remain available for reactivation. You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal data.
